Fairford Bowling Club – Covid19 Update
Following the recent changes in government regulations there are some implications for members using the Clubhouse. With immediate effect members must now wear face masks whilst in the clubhouse apart from when seated for eating/drinking or bowling on the indoor rinks. Members cannot order drinks or food from the bar as the regulations now only allow ‘table service’, we are looking at how this will work in practice. The other change is that we will have to close the bar at 10pm.
EIBA have confirmed that our planned programme of pairs and triples leagues for the indoor season can go ahead. Roll up sessions will be available but MUST be booked online in advance. The committee are installing additional sanitiser dispensers and the new card payment terminals at the end of the indoor rinks. The new fans will be installed shortly. Entries for the new indoor leagues have been quite brisk and the cut-off date is 3 October. If you wish to take part please register now (https://fairfordbowlingclub.co.uk/indoor-league-entry-2020-21/). More details of the indoor season will be circulated in the next few weeks, subject to any more changes announced by the government.
